Admission Requirements

The International Master's program in Informatics Hagenberg invites outstanding students to apply for admission to its degree program. Admission requirements are a Bachelor's Degree in informatics or a related subject (e.g. computer science, business informatics, computer mathematics, applied math, information and communication technology, electrical engineering) of

  • approximately 160 credit hours (approximately 240 ECTS points) or an equivalent degree,
  • or 120 credit hours (approximately 180 ECTS points) plus additional courses of a graduate program (e.g. first year of a Master's program) of approximately 40 credit hours (approximately 60 ECTS points).

The working language for this program is English, i.e. all the courses are
taught in English and the communication language is English. Hence the
students have to be fluent in English. Fluency in English is therefore a necessary requirement for admission.

To be considered for admission to the program, a successful applicant must submit the following documents:

  • Application form.
  • Certificates for all degrees obtained (as authorized copies and translations).
  • Certificate of satisfying the requirements for MSc studies of the university from which the Bachelor's degree was obtained (as authorized translation; waived for students who obtained the Bachelor's degree from a university within the EU).
