The International Studies for Informatics Academic Program
The International Studies for Informatics is invited young students worldwide to study at our school formed in collaboration between the Johannes Kepler University Linz and the Upper Austria University of Applied Sciences.
In the academic year 2010/2011 we offer a unique specialization year for students who already have either a 4-year bachelor degree or a 3-year bachelor plus 1-year master's program.
Your individual study plan
An individual study plan will be assigned to you for this year that is specifically designed for making you an expert in your selected of an area of specialization.
The specialization year offers various unique block courses for developing the creative, intellectual, communication, and also social skills of the students.
Among these courses is a “Thinking” course, that trains the problem solving capability of students based on logic training, and the so-called “Entrepreneurship-Training” course that trains students to start their own business and become responsible leaders in society.
Your individual advisor
A professor who is an expert in the chosen specialization topic will guides you through the entire year and in will be your advisor for the master's thesis.
Study with an innovative company
You will get a company assigned specially to you for whom you will be able to solve a specific research problem. View the completed master's theses as an example to make up your mind.
Future plans
If you choose to continue with your study you can apply for a PhD position at one of our institutes, found a company with our special international incubator program or work inside a company. It's up to you!
